Introduction
 
Tongji CAUP International Design Summer School is a successive project which has already been held for three times by College
of Architecture & Urban Planning (hereafter as CAUP), Tongji University and turned out to be extremely successful. International
Design Summer School 2008 will be hosted by Department of Art & Design.

Tongji CAUP International Design Summer School 2008 will call for local and international top design schools to participate in a
two-week-long design summer school under the theme =Trans Local Motion=, which is also the theme of 2008 Shanghai Biennale.
The final design works will directly be a part of the international students= exhibition of Shanghai Biennale 2008. There will only be
1-2 students from each school to guarantee the internationality and high quality of the design works.
