Introduction
 
Shanghai Biennale is announced officially as the No.5 important Biennale in the world and No.1 in the Asia. Among all the renowned biennales, Shanghai Biennale is one of the few ones who have the International Students' Exhibition as an official section. After the former successes of the International Students' Exhibition, the "main exhibition-students' exhibition" mode has already brought local and international effect on culture, art & design and even society.

The International Students' Exhibition, together with Shanghai Biennale, has already grown into a grand culture, art and design event in Shanghai and China. For example, the International Students' Exhibition of Shanghai Biennale 2006, "Hyper-design", was composed of over 180 pieces of design works from 26 design schools from China and 12 oversea design schools.
